SANTAS DE ROCA
Performance , 60’’| Target public: over 12
A solitary doll with saint's eyes takes the public on a journey to a feminine world made of processions and prohibitions, of feasts and discoveries. A look at women between today and yesterday. It all begins with a strange procession through the streets of the city, that finds its sanctuary in the theatre. At the beginning words are spoken softly, as in church, words from different generations overlap, until they become dance, music invades the space, and the vitality of the women takes over the theatre. A performance that takes the audience inside a feminine universe where everything is transformed and nothing is what it seems.

Mediation practices and community participation:

The creative process began with a series of workshops for a large group of women, a space where, alongside body and voice work, they had conversations and shared experiences, From this encounters we developed the dramaturgy of the play. Five of these women become part of the fixed cast of the show.
The show begins with a procession composed of a large group of local people that crosses the city streets and invites the population to get to the theatre.
